Even More Mavellose Villains

Had a random desire to redraw some of the villains (except for Claude, whom I've been doing plenty of in the recent pages of Mavellose). Decided to make them a little more special by giving them color AND names! Whoo! This dude is now named Darnell.
Out of all 4 I drew, his color scheme and
design seem the most finalized.
In this particular scene, he's casting a spell.
'Q'-chest here is now named Florence.
He's not particularly fond of his name.
Here he is leaning on a brick wall.
Here we have Noelle. I decided on this name because I'm pretty sure her powers are going to be ice-themed, and the name sort of echo's a Christmas-y vibe to it. I'm liking how her design and colors are coming out, but this particular drawing came out kinda 'meh.'

Didn't think I'd leave out the main one, did you? The name of the main villain of Marvellose shall beeeeee... Devin! Whether its Lord Devin, King Devin, etc. has yet to be decided though. Out of the 4 I've drawn here, his color-scheme is the least finalized - I'm not entirely sure how I want him to look color-wise, but this is a good placeholder.

And now, have some random crap!

A man entirely wrapped up in cloth.
No, he's not a mummy.
A 'knight' chess-piece design.
Just kinda popped to mine.

7 Particularly Doodley Doodles

Was in the mood to just, ya know, doodle after I did Page 14 of Marvellose last night. Most of thist stuff was literally made on-the-spot within 10 to 20 seconds, but I thought I'd share! Some Kinda Fat Mage in wonky robes.
A Zany Thing! Probably talks in jibberish or something
"Kaloo-koo-koo!"

A kindly thing with an accordian-type toro.
... or somethin'
PSYCHO!
He wants to pinch you with his claws!
Sludgey monster is... quite sludgey.
Sorta reminds me of the Pokemon "Muk."

Some big strong guy with an exposed magic heart in a glass torso.
He's one tough cookie!

A simple man stands in the winter wind, his scarf flapping behinds him.

Marvellose Villains

Thought I'd share with you guys some of the designs for the villains of "Its a Marvellose Life!"
As of now, there is one main villain with 4 lackeys, though this may change as I go along depending on how I do the story.
The guy on the left was just introduced - the Bandanna Bandit, who I'm thinking will be named "Claude." He's shy and actually quite nice, but only does mean things under the orders of his boss. The face on the bandanna is meant to make him look more threatening, since he's not actually much of a villain. The guy on the right is the villain's 'best' lackey, and I s'pose you could consider him the bad guy equivalent of Usi - a magic user, and the most intelligent of the bunch. This dude doesn't have any name yet, but I'm sure it won't start with Q... which brings about the question, "Whats the 'Q' stand for?" Even I don't know!
This guy can fold up into a ball and rocket around at super speed like a crazy little spaceship. I'm thinking he's the 'overly confident' bad guy of the bunch, and praises the leader no matter what.

Part of me rather likes this design, and part of me feels a little like I made her just to have a girl character... I guess its a little of both. She's meant to give off a french-clown sort of a look, but I'm still not sure what her powers and name will be... nor of her personality for that matter. We'll see in time!

Ah, here we go, the main baddy! Still no name, like most of these guys. As of now, his main goal, like any good villain, will be to take over the world, but to start it may just be a simple rivalry between him and Prince - his micro kingdom, a dark and unpleasant place, doesn't satisfy him; he's jealous that Prince was given rule over the whole of Marvellose in an instant thanks to the King, and he wants more. I'm not sure if I want to make him a serious or comic villain... maybe a mix of the two, depending on the situation.

New Logo for Marvellose

Was gonna do Page 11 tonight, revealing the Prince's portrait, but instead (with the help of a VERY nice friend with a degree in webdesign who showed me how to do some simple stuff), I took tonight to make the comic's page look a little nicer ^__^

First thing I did was make a simple logo to put up top instead of a lame, default text. I'm considering (in pairs of two to keep things even) of adding some of the main cast every so often around the lil' castle here.
I also made a simple purple brick pattern in the background, to go with the castle and further brighten the page.

This is the first doodle of Antonio I drew. I think this looks a little better then how he came out on Page 8, so I'll have to try and follow this design a bit better next time we see him.

Since Marvellose is pretty much limitless, theres plenty of room for me to include pretty much any kind of characters I want. These two, the Monochrom Bros., have always been two of my favorite characters that I've designed, ever since I drew them way back in my first year of High School. As such, I've been trying to redesign them, and maybe include them in the comic's canon somewhere.

Its a Marvellose Life! - Webcomic Started

Yup, I finally started the thing up.

I'm a bit annoyed by the sudden shift in style I seem to see between Pages 1&2 and Pages 3&4 since there was a gap in how long I worked on the thing, but as a whole its coming out nice so far.

The Prince in particular is pleasing me, since he's starting to develop a little character - a mostly jolly guy, but a bit dense at times. And the court mage, Usi, came out better then expected.

And now for something completely different~
